Hand-knotted from premium New Zealand wool, Aronne pays homage to traditional Persian rugs. The piece is naturally dyed using ancient gabbeh techniques, which entails boiling soft New Zealand wool fibers in large stone cauldrons with a mix of ground flowers, bark, wood and roots until they achieve a neutral mauve color. The fibers are then dried in the open air and spun before being dipped into the plant-based dye again to create tonal variations that make each strand unique. Hand-knotted by skilled weavers to create the intricate yet understated design, the rug is distressed in the final stage for a one-of-a-kind vintage look. CB2 exclusive.
